A message from our Founder

Culminating from 3 years of investigative research, we have decided to start a new biotech company called CHEMTEIOS Biologics. The name is a portmanteau meant to blend together Chemistry and Proteins (derived from the Greek word “Proteios”), which are the core interests of the Vong research group at HKUST. Our group is actively striving to create protein therapeutics that can harness chemical principles and methodologies in new and creative ways.

With our exciting results, we want to aggressively bring it to the forefront of cancer treatments. So early on, this company will prioritize developing and validating our best migrastatic candidates. If successful, we foresee our approach being easily adaptable to other types of metastatic cancers.

It also goes without saying that research integrity and the scientific process is a core value in our minds. We want to create a company where doing proper science is the foundational philosophy. With these guiding principles, we are confident that we can approach and solve all problems in a methodical and creative manner.

There is still a ton of work to do in building a team, finding investments, and launching the science. However, we have strong belief in our system and are very excited for what the future holds. Please continue to stay with us as we go on a journey that can potentially revolutionize how we treat (and prevent) cancer.
